LOCAL WILDLIFE GROUPS

Do you have an interest in a particular species group that you'd like to pursue?

If so you may be interested in joining, or attending events run by, a local wildilfe recording group. Find out more about some of the groups in our area, many of which we're lucky enough to work with on a regular basis, here:

Cheshire bee group

Promotes bee recording and shares knowledge on bee identification.

Cheshire bat group

Has enthusiastic, active and knowledgeable members who share an interest in bats.

Cheshire moth group

Promotes the study, conservation and recording of moths.

Wirral and Cheshire badger group

Is dedicated to the conservation and protection of badgers in the region.

Butterfly conservation Cheshire and Wirral Branch

Promotes the conservation of butterflies and moths in the region.

Wirral Amphibian and Reptile Group

Aims to understand and protect Wirral's amphibians and reptiles.

Cheshire and Wirral Ornithological Society

Promotes the study and conservation of birds.

Please let us know if we've missed anyone! We are really keen to help promote the work of local groups. Please do get in touch to discuss ways that we can support each other and work together. Perhaps we could help advertise events or put you in touch with others in the wildlife recording community. We'd also be keen to learn from you and facilitate sharing of knowledge and of wildlife data where we can.
